About FACCI Junior

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FACCI) – Victoria Chapter has over several years successfully created an environment conducive to the development of relationships between French and Australian businesses, through a wide range of events and functions which appeal to its members and the wider business community.

FACCI has added another level to the organisation with the set up of an energetic FACCI Junior Chamber. FACCI Junior Chamber, based on the successful and recognised model of other Junior Chambers of Commerce, addresses the younger membership (professionals up to 40), whether they be students, young employees, or entrepreneurs.

FACCI Junior will organise a mix of business, networking and social events where Junior and current Chamber members alike will be able to network at affordable, fun and enriching occasions, in line with the spirit and mission of FACCI. While events specific to FACCI Junior will be less formal, they will focus on developing business relationships and maintaining the French theme conveyed by FACCI. These events will not only be business and networking oriented but will also showcase a certain “francophilia” for people wanting to share an interest in all things French.

The types of events that will be offered will follow the following guidelines, aiming to provide different kinds of networking opportunities and a variety of environments to suit different interests:

  • Conference events: Knowledge-oriented conferences organised around a theme, with the participation of young business leaders
  • “At-home” events: held at the premises of a sponsor or FACCI member
  • Social events with a strong focus on networking, to support relationship building. These would include cocktail parties, dinners or events organised in conjunction with major Melbourne sport or art-related activities.
  • Major feature event: once a year, award or other industry based event with participation from industry players

This will provide future members with opportunities to network with peers, share common interests/objectives, and create business and career opportunities over the long-term. Further involvement in FACCI Junior activities can provide leadership development opportunities for individuals, with improved exposure to large corporate companies.

We strongly encourage those with an interest in Australian and French business to join this growing group of enthusiastic professionals
